Christmas Came and Went (and so did I)

First a little recap,  Christmas was cool, but way too fast.  I had fun w/ the family and then headed home.  When I got ALMOST home, J called and invited me to the 'rents house.  Now, not to be mean, but I could have been invited, oh, 25 minutes earlier when I was only a couple of miles from there.... J/K.   We had a great time, then came home and exchanged gifts.  I got a Sirius Satellite Radio.  Talk about an awesome gift :-) .

Let's talk more about Satellite Radio.

It seems to be that Free Speech is no longer free, thanks to a lovely thing called the FCC.  You can't say Shit; you can't say Fuck.  You can't talk about how badly the government is screwing us on this one.  Funny thing, the Government.

Howard Stern has been on the air for years doing his thing.  Sometimes I listen and laugh my ass off, sometimes I just turn him off because I'm getting annoyed by one of the obnoxious people he's brought on (i.e. Beetlejuice).  That's the whole thing about freedom...the right to choose.  If I don't like what I hear, I turn the shit off--just as I would were it Rush or Falwell on the f'ing thing. . . I change the channel.  Apparently, though, that's not enough.  So anyways, Howie was doing his regular shit, but then he decided to get political and suddenly, the FCC perked up their ears and Mr. Powell started salivating like he just found one of his dad's porno mags for the first time.  Next thing you know, Howie's being pulled off the air.  Rather than letting us choose to turn it off, someone decided what was best for us.  Kind of like what happened to Margaret This is beginning to be unbearable.

Anywho, this Sirius radio is pretty cool. I get to listen to music, w/out commercial. . . I also get to listen to stations specifically formatted for different political views. There's even a comedy station that is uncensored. The downside is the fact that I have to pay for it. Like I said Free Speech is no longer Free.
