Reading without Purpose

I've been bitching a lot lately because I've not had a chance to read anything other than stuff for work or school. By the time I get done with my required reading, I just haven't felt like reading anything.

Thankfully, with my semester ending early, I was able to crack open one of the books that I bought earlier. Tori Amos's "Piece by Piece". It's pretty cool and I've managed to rip through 207 pages in the past 2 days (not because school starts again on Saturday, but because it's so good).

Anyways, Reading has really recharged me. It's so awesome to read something that is not technical or school-related. Somehow, I'm also able to retain more when I know that I'm not going to be graded on it later. Maybe I should think about that more when I approach my school books. Hrm...something to think about.
