Found On Road, Dead

I just read about Ford bowing to pressure from the American Family Association by pulling their advertising from Gay and Lesbian-themed magazines.

I think that they are making a HUGE mistake.

  1. First of all, this makes Ford come off as bigoted and homophobic organization.

  2. Secondly, this behavior shows that Ford can be easily bought.

  3. Third, their business isn't exactly booming.

With the American Auto industry in the situation it is in, FORD really shouldn't be offending the part of the population with the highest amount of disposable income. Their business will continue to suffer.

Ford: You are going to lose the gay and lesbian dollar, as well as that of their supportive friends and family members. What do you have going for you now? Your cars are substandard to those of foreign manufacturers, your warranties cannot compete, and now you are offending a large portion of the US population.

You've not done anything smart since pulling the Ford Pinto from the market.
