Say What???
Ok, it took me a few days to comment on the mess that is Idol due to my anger. Now normally I love Howard Stern, but his recent campaign of supporting Sanjaya a la votefortheworst.com is really pissing me off. Yes Idol is kind of warped in the way it works (I believe each phone number should have one vote. period.), but I don't see the benefit of messing with the voting. By kicking off someone like Stephanie, who might have had a chance to make it, you aren't ruining the image of the show, you are possibly ruining the chances of one talented person.
You might say "well, other losers have made it big (i.e. Chris Daughtry)," but what you fail to see is that most of the losers with decent careers at least made it past the first few eliminations.
No one, (aside from one manic, sobbing, blonde chick and Yoko Ono fans), really wants Sanjaya's squirrelly little voice shrieking through their sound system. Seriously. That shit's just not right.

gotta agree with hkb on this one, in terms of you disliking stern, but that's beside the point.
Stern and his crew of listeners are definitely making a mockery out of the show.....Good!
The thing screams to be made fun of in a new and fun manner. At least, in my humble opinion.
Meanwhile, if they're really talented, the Idol show won't matter. They'll make their way. Plenty of "losers" on the show have made better careers than the "winner".
Either way, I won't watch ;)
