E-Nun-Cee-Ate

...Or Out of the Mouths of Babes

So we drove up to my Mom's this weekend for dinner and a movie with the family. This, for me, is usually a ton of fun; especially seeing my darling little niece.

My niece is the fiestiest little thing you'd ever meet. I love to just sit back and watch what she's going to do next. Lately it's been singing "Row Row Row Your Boat," which, for her, comes out more like a 90's dance mix: "Row Row Row Row Row Row Row Row."

She's also taken to saying everyone's names...except mine and my mom's. She will NOT say "Scott" or "Grammy." She knows these words, but won't use them in front of us. It's a game. She will just giggle and turn her head away.

This weekend, however, she finally spoke up. We were arguing over a banana chip. I had one, she wanted it, I wanted to say "Please Uncle Scott." So all eyes (and ears) were on her when she defiantly said: "Uncle Cock!"

Yes, You could have heard a pin-drop in the second before the laughter started. We tried not to, so that she didn't think it was funny and therefore to be repeated.

About a half hour later, were playing and she said "Scott" as clear as day. When I asked her to repeat it, "Uncle Cock" came out instead.

Yep..I guess that's me; Uncle Cock.

She thinks she's so little and cute and smart. I've been calling you that for YEARS!
