What a difference a day makes
...or "I know the truth lies in between the 1st and the 40th drink"
So I hate it when you are flying high from a victory, such as spending 3 intense days trying to certify for a well-respected trade organization. One of those days concluded with a kick-ass concert with some friends.
Then I go into work and the new big big boss (let's call her Miranda) has decided that my department is the last of her concern and we're not getting the resources we need. The salt in the wound is that she has decided to label me as her "system guy".
Um, excuse me, the last time I checked there was no "system" or "IT" in my title. Fuckin' hell! GRRRRR
That's ok. I've been approached by a recruiter, and have had a first interview, so wish me luck!
Right now, I'm just sipping on a manhattan (thank you j) and trying to iron the wrinkles out of my resume. Cross your fingers, folks

It is always a good time to look around and see what your options are. Couldn't hurt, right? Especially if you're feeling frustrated and unhappy. Manhattans are also pretty good.
