Two and a Half Hombres

...Or, this weekend was pretty much shot.

Friday I took a vacation day for the new laminate flooring to be installed. After about 8 hours, the guys from the flooring company managed to change this 80's monstrosity:


into something a bit more modern:



Then, Saturday, I left J to play with the rug people while I went outlet shopping. I thought that being gone until about 2:30 would mean that they would be almost done. However, Juan, Chico, and one of their sons (names have been changed to protect the possibly illegal immigrants) took about 10.5 hours to complete our carpet. To be fair, they did have to deal with some heavy furniture (including piano), rain, and complicated floorplans (including sunken living room).
